30 Live Mosquito Fish, Pond Fish

Fish in great shape. Only one died. Mostly females which is great.

The media could not be loaded. When they got here I was gonna dump them right in the pond, but after reading up on how much they reproduce I decided to breed them. I think that was just my excuse to create a planted tank.One died in transit, and a few died due to change of environment, but that’s normal. These fish are perfect for a planted tank with no filter because they survive with low oxygen, and this will give you time for your plants to thrive.

The media could not be loaded. We put the in our pond. The weather got down to 35F and they did just fine.

I had my doubts in ordering fish online, especially given how hot it has been. The fish traveled via standard shipping with the Postal Service from Florida to Indiana. The fish were in a well tied bag filled with blue water and plenty of air. I transferred the fish to a container and fed them. They were ready to go to my pond to help control mosquitoes. I am really happy they were safe and healthy.

The package took 24 hours from FL to my place in NJ via air transportation. Only 1 or 2 fishes died on arrival, I think this was quite good overall. I put them in the big pot (growing water lily) in the backyard. After one month outdoors with temperature fluctuations in early summer, most of them still survive today. Overall, I am satisfied with the result.
