Description Misoprostol is a prescription oral tablet used to help treat stomach ulcers, especially those due to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs including aspirin and certain prescription arthritis medications. It works by decreasing the formation of stomach acid. Veterinarians may use this in the treatment of animals. Customers may receive this drug under the name Cytotec.
