I bought this complete V-brake set to replace the old brakes on my bike, mainly because the originals had started to look quite rusty. They were cheap chrome ones and had definitely seen better days. This black set immediately looked like a big upgrade and I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. Everything you need for a full brake replacement is included in the box: front and rear V-brake callipers, brake levers, inner and outer cables, noodles, brake pads, and all the mounting hardware. It’s genuinely a complete kit, which makes it really convenient if you’re doing a full refresh. Installation was very straightforward for me as it was basically a direct swap with the existing V-brakes. If you’re comfortable doing basic bike maintenance, it shouldn’t take long at all. The aluminium alloy brake arms feel solid and well made, and the levers have a comfortable shape that matches the originals but look much better in black. Braking performance is just as good as any other V-brake setup I’ve used—smooth, responsive, and reliable. Overall, this is a great value kit that’s perfect if you want to refresh tired or rusty brakes without spending a fortune. Highly recommended.

I wanted to replace all the brakes on my wife's bike, the reason being they where looking a bit rusty, these looked like the perfect set, finished in black these should not have the rust problem, unlike the old ones which are just chromed and cheaply at that. Quality wise these are just as good as any other V brake, so they will work just as well, for me simple to fit just a straight swap. The levers also look good, same shape as the ones fitted to her bike, although in black like the brake arms, I think they will look much better, so swapping them as well. This set comes with everything needed for a complete V brake set up, brakes, levers, cables both inner and outer and noodles, even a spanner but that's not needed in my case so will be binned.
