Great looking set
These knives not only look and feel great, they are sharp and perfect for all types of cooking/chopping. Good weight, not too heavy and feel well made. Been using a few weeks not and still as sharp as the day they were bought. Great buy

Excellent set of high quality knives
🔹INTRO & DESCRIPTION🔹The Paudin Kitchen knife set arrives in a sleek black gift box, inside which you will find the five knives:-1 x 8” Chef’s knife1 x 8” Bread Knife1 x 8” Carving Knife1 x 5” Utility Knife1 x 3.5” Paring KnifeThe knives are made from “high carbon stainless steel”, which on looking it up is “harder and stronger than other types of stainless steel”, and is often “more expensive than other types of stainless steel”. It combines the best qualities of carbon and stainless steel resulting in a knife with a remarkable cutting edge and high resistance to corrosion. Sounds good so far !The knives have a black coating which not only looks attractive, but also serves the purpose of protecting the blade and providing a non-stick effect.🔹OPINION🔹&🔹CONCLUSION🔹I do love to cook, and having a good set of knives is essential in the kitchen. I would love to be able to chop vegetables like the TV chef’s, but sadly my knife skills are not yet up to scratch. They do say you are more likely to cut yourself with a blunt knife than a sharp one, so I should be okay, as these are very sharp. All the knives are useful, but I will probably use the utility and paring knife the most, closely followed by the chef’s knife. If you make your own bread, or buy it unsliced, then the bread knife would be very useful too.The knives are priced a £79.99 which considering their quality, and the fact they are gift boxed, seems very reasonable. There is, however, a 30% voucher at the moment making them just £56 (if my maths is correct!) which is excellent value.I do think these knives would make a great gift either for newlyweds or just a friend or relative who enjoys cooking. I am very pleased with my set, and hopefully I will soon be chopping like a Pro !!

Sturdy, but Heavy Set of Household Knives with Modern Design
My first impression of this set of knives is that they are quite sturdy, but also quite heavy too. The paring and utility knives are relatively lightweight, while the bread and carving ones are ok, but the chef knife's weight, for example is 241 grams, which is quite heavy, making it very tiresome to work with for more than 15 minutes. The black coating provides non-sticking effect to some extent, but at the same time makes cutting fine, thin slices a bit harder than it should be. The sharpness of the blades is ok, not the best and not the worst by any means and this is perhaps due to the coating or the thickness of the knife itself (or the combination of both of these things). Hygiene wise these are perfect as washing them is a breeze - no crevices with organic material leftovers, no plastic parts to soak up oil - just uniform metal, which is always a plus for me personally. I cut, diced, minced and peeled fruit, vegetables and meat and I can't agree this set of knives is professional: it's normal household set of knives - with modern, simplistic look and nice presentation, but that's all there is to it. They proved to be too heavy for me - I'm used to much more lightweight knives, but still - the paring and utility knives I find very comfortable to work with.
