F * Temperature controlled fan speed increases/decreases with temperature * Silent operation from low to high speed * Select from Intake or Exhaust * (2U) 2 rack spaces The PROCOOL SXT480-E automatic cooling system increases and decreases the fan speed based on temperature. Each fan has a Thermistor Sensor that will automatically start the fan at 77F and adjust the fan speed from low to high as the temperature changes. The fans will run at low rpm (56 CFM) until the sensor detects an increase in heat, then the speed will begin to increase up to high rpm. (128 CFM) The location of the probe controls the performance of the system. Position the probe at the heat source for more airflow or farther away from the heat source for less airflow. With a noise level of only 20dBA at top speed, the SXT480 is one of the quietest 2U models with the highest airflow. Available in both intake and exhaust versions. The Intake model SXT480 blows air into the rack.
