Hi, I have mobility issues and am female and had serious reservations about using this, but I can attest to the fact that on my, good days, it works a treat. The best analogy I can find is to think about the pressure needed to squeeze 2 inches of foam. It really isn't too much work and there are videos available which are really helpful when you get it and are putting the sealant in. So far, armed with my sealant gun, I have resealed ALL the windows, doors internally and externally and all the skirting boards. There has been a massive decrease in condensation and the number of small insects coming into my home. I wish I learnt how to do this earlier as I have wasted so much time and money waiting for workmen to do these tasks. I always have a spare tube of sealant and regularly look around to see where it may be needed.Buy this and you will never need a workman again for this type of thing. And if I can do it, anyone can.Power to You!Sal

Hi, can I use a 290 ml cartridge in this gun?

Yes you'll be fine, I've used 280 and 295ml tubes in this. It really is such a better gun than the older style ones with the release trigger on the back.
