A wonderful gift for an elderly person.
My mom is 96 yrs. old and suffering from dementia. She absolutely adores this little bird. She can turn it on easily and the bird interacts with her, tweeting, singing several songs and actually "has conversations" with her. Mom swears the bird is almost alive and it sits on the table next to her chair or "perches" on her walker when she is up and about. It's the best gift she ever got, she tells me over and over! The little bird is a companion, a pet and makes her happy. That makes me happy, too.

Adorable, but didn't last
I love it, and so did 2everyone who saw it. It did not however, last for only three weeks.Amazon refunded my money without issue.If manufacturers could improve longevity, and reduce the price, I'd buy multiples as gifts. It seems to me, to be overpriced even if it did last.Further recommendation: this is addressed to the creators/manufacturers. It should be targeted towards ANY pet lover who cannot have a pet in their current situation. I cannot take care of a live animal because of illness. I wanted one immediately upon seeing it live. It is a bit on the expensive side of life, but I decided to go for it anyway.I'm glad I did. Also, to whomever has the power to make this happen: Target professional communities and journals so that they could recommend these products to those individuals who need it the most. Also, advertise in household magazines so that the scope of these products and variety of these would be better known. Finally, it would be helpful to have an advertisement brochure for people to hand out to their patients/clients/congregation/customers or other contacts. Singings upon movement
This little bird is wonderful. His song is clear and lovely. However, he only singing two songs; otherwise, they are just tweets. That is rather expensive for two songs even if it is a beloved gift.
