Hi. Shelf life is good as long as it's kept dry, if it gets damp it will clog. It will be good for years, after all it's already thousands of years old, I use it in my coops to keep them parasite free.

Is this sutiable for reptiles?

No idea. I don't feed it, just chuck it in hen house when cleaning out. Google your question!
