Product description ------------------- Launched for the first time in 1992, its name comes from the monte located next to the Caridade reservoir, at Herdade do Esporão. With a distinctly Alentejo profile, this wine aims to transmit the uniqueness of the Alentejo and the quality of Herdade do Esporão wines to more people. Balanced and gastronomic, it is an excellent choice for a variety of occasions and consumers. Monte Velho Red Wine is composed of indigenous varieties like Aragonês, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, and Syrah. Vinification: The vinification starts with Destemming, crushing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, membrane pressing, controlled malolactic fermentation. Followed by six months of aging in stainless steel tanks and American oak barrels. After aging, the wine is processed for blending and bottling. Aroma: Red berry fruits and wild blueberries, subtle toasty notes. Palate: Fresh, intense, solid structure, good texture.
