Great Budget-Friendly Green Dot with Motion Awake!
I’ve been really impressed with the ADE RD3-021-PRO NUWA-PRO Green Dot. The Motion Awake feature works flawlessly, instantly activating when needed, which is a huge convenience. The green dot is crisp and easy to acquire, even in bright daylight, and the multiple brightness settings make it adaptable for different lighting conditions. The optic feels sturdy and well-built, mounts securely, and has held zero perfectly after multiple range sessions. Battery life has been solid, and the compact design fits well on optics-ready pistols without needing extra mounting plates. For the price, this is an excellent green dot sight with premium features at a budget-friendly cost. Highly recommended!

Red flags galore
Honestly, I rarely write reviews but…do not buy this.1. The tools and materials are so cheap. We’re talking simple Allen wrenches and they’re damaging the hardware. Screw heads stripped with no force, punched through the battery cover retaining ring where you twist it.2. The threading on the battery cover was damaged. It took multiple tries to take off, and well over a half hour to get on once the battery was inserted. If the battery dies as fast as other reviews say, this is going to be a nightmare to keep changing.3. It comes with 4 sets of screws (plus the ones on your MOS cover). The optic comes ready to fit to several compact handguns, no indication of which size screw to use for which gun. Directions list the guns but nothing more helpful in that regard.4. Depending on the pistol you might need a shim to raise the sight angle. Tells you in directions. Doesn’t tell you for what guns you might need it. Also it doesn’t come with shim, have to order separately.5. The mounting section of the instructions has nothing about mounting, albeit a caveman could figure out, the whole thing with the shim and screws made it frustrating.6. I’m genuinely concerned for screws stripping or other hardware (like battery cover) breaking and getting stuck in the pistol frame or damaging the green dot.7. Again, if the battery life is as bad as reviews say….seeing stock iron sights is a little tough with this on the gunPositives though:1. Brightness setting is pretty awesome. Lot of options.2. The reticle is nice, (but note it is large for such a small window).3. Does come with a rubber cover for the green dot.Untested:1. Haven’t sighted in yet2. Haven’t tested battery life3. Haven’t tested the shake to wake function for more than a few minutes and if it is really draining or not.I want to like this sight. And hope I will. But right out of the box I have some major concerns and I hope it proves me wrong in the long run. Hope quality control improves for the company. Purchase with caution. But great budget friendly option. Will likely switch to a holosun.

got the wrong one first... second one was correct.
FIRST: All the reviews show a different model than i received. the listing shows some pictures with a sawtooth model, which is what i got, and some without. the listing also says this should be a green circle dot, but i got a plain green dot. it came wrapped in a bag with scotch tape holding it closed too, so hopefully they send the correct item, with the circle dot, when the replacement arrives. pictures of what they sent me are included for reference...SECOND: Got the correct optic. It fits properly, and looks good... However it doesnt have a NV setting that is invisible to the unaided eye. The listing says it does. It also doesnt turn off completely whether using the long button press or time elapsed auto shutoff function. It just switches to the dimmest setting, which is still visible. I emailed ADE and they told me to expect about 2000hr battery life. It is advertised as 5000hr and also as 10,000hr in the item listing, but the ADE rep told me 2000... Disappointing. That means I'm going to be changing batteries every 3months if I'm lucky. Probably going to pass. If I do keep it, the battery is coming out for storage, and it will be a range only toy, since it is obviously not a serious use optic.UPDATE: Decided to see how long the battery would last with intermittent use, on the second brightest setting. May 11th would have been approximately the 2000hr mark, and just a couple days ago, it started getting dim automatically. Today is about 18wks past that 2000hr mark, with intermittent occasional use. Not too bad. I'm more happy with the fact that it "lets you know" the battery is getting weak by running at a dimmer setting. I can still manually make it brighter, but the shake-awake defaults to a lower level. Pleasant surprise. Bumping up to 4 stars.

Works but it has many flaws
First off, the battery life is abysmal. I installed it on my pistol about 7 months ago. I go to the range to use it no more than once a week, most of the time once every couple of weeks. So, with this little use of the red dot, the battery died about 4 weeks ago.My second gripe is the sensitivity of the shake awake function. It is supposed to shut off in 5 minutes but if you pack your bag and put your gun way and drive home from range, all the small bumps on the road or any minuscule movement prevent it from shutting off. Probably this is why the battery didn't last long.Another thing, if you turn this thing off by long pressing the button on the side, shake awake doesn't wake it up. You have to press the button again to turn it on.Another pet peeve of mine, when the battery starts going weak, the red dot doesn't shut off to let you know the battery is weak or flash the reticle or some other indication, it just dims the the light to a point, you can not turn it on, moving the barrel like crazy to locate the dot on the reticle. The only positive thin going on for this reflex optics device is the dual reticles and the price. Otherwise, if you are planning to compete with it or something, spend the money and buy a Holosun, Vortex or Trijicon.
