OverEZ Chicken Feeder, Holds 50 LBS of Feed, No Spill, Outside/Inside Use, Automatic

I have 40 chickens and I use this feeder inside my coop. I initially bought a five gallon bucket and drilled the holes and installed my own feeding tubes like this feeder but I felt like I was spilling a lot of food so I bought this instead. I have it sitting on a cinder block and it’s the perfect height for my girls. There is way less food loss with this and I love that it can still hold so much food. I haven’t had any issues with the food getting spoiled inside the container either. I have had this feeder for about a month and I did a full clean and I did notice that the bottom seam is cracking. Amazon was great with customer service but I do plan on sealing it up myself and still planning on buying another one! Would recommend just check your seams!!

I bought both the feeder and waterer. I put out the feeder first as it was winter here and I didn't have a heater for the waterer yet. I put it in place of the old feeder out in the middle of the run, but with our sub zero temps one of the chickens must have knocked off the lid and somehow broke it. This is the only flaw in the design is the lid is made of a thinner plastic and the reason it didn't get a full 5 star review.Anyway, I contacted the company letting them know, hoping to be able to purchase a new lid as I used the lid off of the waterer to replace the broken feeder lid. Nice that they are interchangeable. Which left me one lid short. The company sent out a new lid free and I had it with in a few days. I have since moved the feeder into the coop since blowing snow was still able to get into and plug the feed openings, although rain was kept out. I like how it is able to go against a wall, so it can be put even in a narrow coop with enough room for the chickens to eat comfortably. I've had it for many months now and still like it a lot, it has completely solved the waste of feed on the ground which was a big problem with my hens. They had figured out how to circumvent even the most touted waste free feeders before.

We had an issue with our girls wasting a lot of food out of our feeders. We tried several other systems. This one works. Girls love it, minimum waste, holds a sufficient amount of food. I will purchase more in near future.

I like the idea of not filling the feeder everyday and less feed waste. However, I had to put this on a base. It would be nice if they had one to go with it. The two ducks have gone a better job of adjusting to this feed system than my older chickens. I bought a second feeder for the chicks I bought in April but have not started them on this feeder yet to know how they’ll do. Ducks are so messy that it’s hard to tell what waste is from just them being ducks.

The waterer and feeder are sturdy, clean and hold quite of bit of food and water! We have these in our 4 coops!
