Received it - Opened it - Tested in a completely dark room - ......NOTHING! Checked all connections several times. Still - NOTHING. I own two other Laser Lighting Units by two different manufacturers, and they still work fine. They were purchased last year. This unit is built much lighter and has no switches on the outside to select red, green, or both light displays. One must use a flashlight or an iPhone to change modes. An ambient light sensor is located on the back of the unit, and that is the only way it can be turned on! YIKES!!! If the sensor fails, you have just wasted your money, because there is no other way to use it! The flashlight idea didn't solve this problem. There is no remote, either. Also noticed that Amazon says that this unit is manufactured by "WSTECHCO "...However, the box it came in clearly states "CERCHIO". No matter, it is made in ShenZhen District, China. Boxing it up and returning it to Amazon today. VERY DISAPPOINTED, because this was a gift for a dear friend.UPDATE 12/10/2016: Originally, I gave this product a rating of "1". Within a few hours of posting my comments on Amazon, I received an email from a person named "Carol". I do not know this person, and chances are that I will never meet her. However, this lady cared enough to work late the following night in her office in China to make this negative experience turn into a positive experience for me. I still am in awe of a company that can have a replacement product on my doorstep in TWO DAYS time!!! The replacement laser light works very well and not only that, but because Carol cared, I can now give this gift to my good friend, who will be so surprised!!! The performance of this company and Carol are all too rare. We need more Carols in the world. It really does my heart good here at Christmas time to have an experience like this! its best if you have only modest lights already by the house. if you have really bright LED's hanging off, like on gutters, or all over bushes, it is hard for this to show up as brightly as you might likei still like it fine..just be aware, its more for a house who wants to just add a nice covering of Christmas lighting, without much trouble..put the stakes together, find your spot, aim it. turn it on..i have mine on a 12 hr timer..works perfectly..great for a budget..get 2 if you want to cover a big house and the sides..

I thought this was gonna be an awesome laser lights, I received it today and turned it on, only the red light came on and there was no green light. I set it up on the yard hoping it will eventually turn on after a few hours, but after 4 hours nothing happened. Will update later. Sadly my other one of different brand I used last year without motion did not turn on this year.UPDATE: 11/29 Customer service reached immediately out after my first disappointing review which is great, nothing beats that. CS promised to send a replacement plus sent me a code for my 2nd purchase. The next day however, I noticed that there was no light on house. Tried to unplug and plugged it ion but to no avail. I removed it from my yard and plugged inside my house, voila it works again. Hmmmm. I brought it outside and plugged and connected it again. This time it worked! Great! Now headed back inside and peeked through the window. It's off again!!!11/30 My second order ( unmarked box, maybe the replacement?) came in and I told myself maybe this one will be different. Checked it inside the house. The red and green lights work! Brought it outside and plugged it in. It's working! I unplugged the first one and repositioned it away from the tree ( maybe the lights around the tree is affecting it?) Plugged it in and the first one also worked even though the green light is not working. Looks cool, but it's getting cold outside, I went inside the house, peeked through the window ( AGAIN!) and you betcha, there was no light. Very frustrating!!!!! It was probably on for less than a minute, my tree light is on so it's not the connection. I've read in one of the reviews that he wrapped it with a tape, i will try that tomorrow and I will update again. So in short, the customer service is great! :D but the product is not..... we'll see what happens!

I had difficulty getting it to work initially.It would only light up if I tap it on the back, and the light would only stay on for 2 minutes and I had to tap it again to get it to work. Then I taped the sensor on the back, it works perfectly now. I think it may be too bright from my other lights for the sensor to turn on the light.

So this is not a bad product, but also it cost $20 so don't expect a lot. If you are using to illuminate 1 large tree - I would say it would work. I only wish it could change colors where I could run white or red or green and it had a larger spread. Even shooting up pretty high it is fairly narrow. I did think it gave me enough information to buy a better one that could be broader. Also casing is plastic. I would think ok for a season - but not longer term

I searched thru many different laser lights before choosing this one. I was still hesitate but I am so glad I bought it. It is easy to set up and cuts on nearly immediately. The green lights are VERY bright tho the red leaved something to be desired. The dusk till dawn sensor works perfectly. I want it inside so I put a piece of tape over it. I never have to put up lights again, I hope ;-) It doesn't get overly hot either.Con, changing the light color is confusing and hard to do and it has to be done each time it is unpluged.

Light wouldn't perform. Turns out, you had to "cover" a hole in the back. My wife discovered it. But a REAL Star Shower 🚿, don't waste your time and money on this.
