I wish it worked faster!
Pro: this product works!Cons: it takes about 15 minutes to take affect, and it doesn't always last very long.My baby has had terrible gas from the time he was born. We've been going through a bottle a week of this stuff for over two months. He's finally growing out of it, but we couldn't have made it to this point without Mylicon. We administer it in his cheek a little at a time, then let him suck on our finger to encourage him to swallow. He takes it cheerfully, since it's been a part of his routine literally his whole life. The relief is not always total, but it's usually enough for him to be able to sleep. After we administer it, he's usually calming down about 15 minutes later, depending on the severity of the "bubbles". Within 30 minutes, he's usually asleep. The relief lasts at least another 30 minutes after that point. Usually it's more like an hour or two.My advice:1. Take the label seriously. It really does work best when the syringe has been washed between every dose.2. Shake the bottle up before you draw up a dose. The Mylicon doesn't work as well when you're close to the end of the bottle. However, if you reconstitute it every time you pull it up, this effect is put off until the last few doses.3. Watch your baby.-There will be times of the day when his/her gas is better and worse. You can anticipate the bad hours, and head off the "bubbles" before they're overwhelming. Not only that, but since you can only give up to 12 doses in 24 hours, you can hold off during the calmer times to shore up for the harder hours.-If our son has gas pain when we set him down for a nap, he will sometimes become overtired before the Mylicon kicks in. His overtired cry/behavior is different than his gas pain cry/behavior. If we miss the transition, all our gas pain interventions (bicycling, tummy hold, burping, etc.) become counter-productive because all they're doing is keeping him awake. So pay attention, and meet the need your baby is actually experiencing.-Anticipate the harder days. When my baby has had a series of calm, predictable days, he is not so easily overwhelmed by the movements of his digestive system. However, you can expect that, when he's had a busy day, and is emotionally spent, his ability to cope dramatically decreases. So, evenings tend to be tougher, and so are the days after super busy days (for example, when we spend all day Sunday at church, he's more upset than usual on Monday).-Experiment with the timing of your gas drop administration. For the first few weeks, we gave a dose with every feeding, and found that they worked best when we administered it right before he ate. And as he's grown, his patterns have evolved. So experiment, and keep experimenting!4. Accept the fact that there's only so much you can do. Most of the time, the Mylicon does its job. But while you're waiting for it to kick in, and on the occasions when even the gas drops aren't enough, there's a point where the only thing you can do is be there. So buy yourself some ear plugs, or put in some earbuds with calming music, and just hold your baby and let him/her know they're not alone.5. Trade off. When your partner has been comforting the crying baby for a while, go in and relieve them. And when you're the one off duty, leave the room to recuperate. Turn down the lights to give your senses a break, and take a few minutes to process your emotions so you can move forward.6. Remember that your baby's crib is a safe place. Even if he/she starts screaming as soon as you set them down, that's not because the crib is a horrible thing. And if you need a break, your baby will not be harmed--physically or psychologically--from being in their crib. If you're afraid of it, try using it for play time a few times when your baby is happy and calm, so YOU maintain a positive association.I hope this helps you with your "bubble trouble"! And remember, "This, too, shall pass"! 😂

Came quickly
For whatever reason, every store that normally would carry this was out of stock when we needed it. Amazon got it to us the next day, plus this bottle is twice the size of what we had just run out of. This product is a life saver, glad I was able to order it.

BUY THIS OVER GRIPEWATER
we tried gripewater on our 5 month old. She started vomiting violently. We looked it up and found out some babies don’t react to it well, it isn’t full certified as safe for consumption, and if you don’t give it to the baby at the exact right times before meals it can upset her stomach causing vomiting. This stuff can be given at any point during or after meals, is is certified safe, and it helped our baby girl so much. Don’t touch gripewater, buy this. AND you can give this to babies at a much younger age
