This is my first experience with the British skincare line founded by chemist Richard Mears, who says he set out to create a "one cream skin regime," and this night cream was the line's first, and signature product.Said to "increase [skin's] luminosity, hydration, and elasticity," this boasts of being paraben-free and vegan but has quite a few ingredients I wouldn't expect to find in a cream at this price point, including synthetic fragrance ("parfum"), isopropyl myistate (a potential irritant for many folks) and multiple types of dimethicone, a.k.a. silicone, which I unhappily note is sixth on the ingredient list here.Silicone is often used in makeup primers to fill in fine lines and create a slick, smooth surface for makeup application. Silicone itself is non-comedogenic, but it can cause breakouts simply because it's hard to remove completely, and seals dirt and oil in pores. Definitely needs a double washing to completely remove, which also removes its "benefits." Silicone isn't fixing any skincare problem, it's just spackling over them, and while that's fine if you know that's what you're doing for a temporary makeup fix, it seems misleading in a very expensive cream.Another reason I'm surprised to see this so high on the list here is…Dimethicone is a cheap skincare fix. It's found in many drugstore brands, and not what I expect to see in a cream retailing for more than $100 per ounce. For roughly this same price point, you can get Creme de la Mer, the gold standard in luxury facial cream moisturizer, which does NOT use dimethicone.As for how I felt this worked, it feels rich, but not heavy. It absorbed well and kept my skin feeling hydrated all day long, but can't get past the somewhat low-class ingredients in this high price product. Just doesn't feel like you're getting what you pay for. There are better, more natural creams out there that work well, and cost less.

I have tried a ton of face lotions, creams, serums and brighteners over the last year. I've learned that great skin care doesn't need to cost a ton of money. That said, when I saw this bougie face cream available on Vine, I requested it and here we are! This review is of: CULT51 Night Cream, Improves Appearance of Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Uneven Skin Tone & Signs of Fatigue, Increases... I am in my mid 50's, with pretty decent skin. My T-zone is a bit oily in the winter months, and I don't have too many wrinkles yet, and the ones I have are not deep. Okay, now you know my skin type , what happened with the cream?What can I say? I love this stuff! I've been using it nightly for about 3 weeks. The jar is a glass one and it's heavy. The cream feels thick and luxuriant, but it goes on smoothly and absorbs in quickly. Even the skin in my T-Zone did not react badly to this cream.Over the 3 week period I have been using Cult 51, I have noticed the lines below my nose that go to the corners of my mouth seem to be much shallower than they used to be. The few wrinkles I do have seem much less noticeable as well. My skin just looks....happy and healthy. (Even with the melasma , (hyper pigmentation) and the slight rosacea, my skin looks...GREAT. It's smooth, there's no bumps, there's no acne, and I am happy as all get out.One other thing-the neck! I went right ahead and used this cream right down to my décolleté. I'm a bit overweight and I'm starting to get a little droopy under my chin. I swear that it looks...firmer, I guess? It seems there is less of a droop and it looks slightly firmer. I am hoping that this will improve even further as I continue to use this nightly.Even though I know that great skin care doesn't have to be expensive, I am going to find it difficult to let this go when I run out. I might have to find some reason to treat myself, because this is one cult I'd like to remain a part of.

CULT51 Night CreamI really love this cream. I have super dry and sensitive skin and found that this really adds a LOT of hydration when combined with another serum. (I admit - I didn't like the serum from this brand since it smelled like alcohol and left me irritated and red.) This cream doesn't have the dreaded alcohol and has a lovely earthy floral scent that I love. This cream absorbs quickly and really helps to plump up fine lines.
