Sodium Tripolyphosphate (STPP) also called Sodium Triphosphate (STP) or Tripolyphosphate (TPP) is sodium salt of the polyphosphate penta-anion, which is the conjugate base of triphosphoric acid. It has wide various uses in the industry especially detergents. Generally, it is also used as a food application such as preservative and emulsifier. It is used to decrease the viscosity of glazes up in ceramics production. Used as antifreeze, a leather tanning, anti-caking, retarders setting, flame retardants, anticorrosion pigments, fermentation. Used in paper, textiles, rubber production.
