Great question... 1 serving of Grassfed Beef Liver (6 capsules) is equivalent to 1oz of raw undefatted beef liver. With that said, 4 servings (24 capsules) of Grassfed Beef Liver is equivalent to 4oz of raw beef liver. Nutrition authorities like Chris Masterjohn (of Mastering Nutrition) and the WAPF recommend 1 to 2 servings of liver per week (or) a total of 6 to 8oz per week. A Is there any worry about high Iron from taking the desiccated beef liver?

Organs and glands are nutrient dense, whole foods. The recommended serving (6 capsules) is equivalent to about one ounce of fresh, raw organs / glands that you’d get from your local farmer (or) butcher. The amount of heme iron that one would expect in this serving size is approximately 2 mg. A moderate amount of liver will almost always confer more benefit than potential harm from too much iron. Nutrition authority Chris Masterjohn, PhD has a great podcast on this topic entitled "Why You Need to Manage Your Iron Status and How to Do It." The take home message is that liver is too nourishing, and too good for our biology, to eliminate it from our diets... instead, eat the liver and reduce some other iron rich foods here and there if you are "concerned" with iron overload. He even goes so far as to suggest combining some dairy (or calcium) with the liver to lessen the bio-availability of the iron if too much iron is a concern for an individual. There is approximately 5,000 IUs of Vitamin A per serving. The Vitamin A contained in beef liver is the real deal Vitamin A (retinol) in contrast to the beta carotene version that poorly converts.Many people believe that they can get enough vitamin A from their fruits and veggies—simply put, they can't! Fruits and vegetables are high in a family of phytonutrients called carotenoids (e.g. beta-carotene). Because of this, many people (and websites alike), believe that these foods provide vitamin A; however, they do not. The body must convert these compounds into vitamin A; but in humans, this process is inefficient and hardly takes place. The data shows that only three percent or less of carotenoids from plant foods are absorbed. In contrast, eighty percent or more of preformed vitamin A from animal sources (i.e. liver) is absorbed. If you're not consuming liver one to two times per week, you're not getting adequate vitamin A. If you're not getting adequate vitamin A, you're likely not optimizing health metrics (e.g. immune function, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, gums). The simple solution is to eat liver twice a week. If you're just not going to do it, consider a high quality liver supplement.

I purchased beef organs and beef liver for a purpose of male fertility support. I’ve taken it for a few days now and notice the difference in energy and strength. I am happy that I am able to push through my workouts lifting heavier and notice the improvement on my gut and mood. This product is amazing and I can’t wait to see the improvements on my body in the near future. It’s recommended to do 6x a day but I’ve been only taking 3x a day. Also the smell of the pills is a bit pungent but it’s doesn’t leave any after taste.

So I have been struggling with mood issues since my second child's birth (that is almost 4 years ago), particularly linked to my menstrual cycles. I have generally been feeling exhausted and just low energy, no enthusiasm and brain fog. My PMT symptoms have been debilitating. Honestly didn't know if all these reviews were true or not. I'm quite suspicious and understand that some company's will always try to convince you to buy there stuff and people generally will almost believe anything these days. After buying from ancestral supplements and speaking to Brian through email. I'm really astounded by this company! I have shortness of breath issue's and digestive health problems. I brought the liver and although I don't doubt the quality atal I wish I had brought the beef lungs instead as I have been smoking for good majority of my life, I have quit 6 months ago but this will be long journey to recovery. Beef lungs just seemed to make sense. I didn't truth to be told wanted go get rid of liver as its a whole complete package in the sense that beef liver is one of the most rich nutrient dense superfoods around and should cover most everyday health benefits. Lungs is one that I really need tho. I'm struggling with money. I can't afford both. I kindly emailed the company to say that although I don't doubt the liver I feel lungs is best for my current health issue I'm more than happy to send off liver and they said just to keep it and that they would be more than happy to send beef lungs if it means helping me as my health was important to them! I really have never had that kind of customer service before. Rare these days. Most company once they have your money that's it kind of thing. These guys actually, genuinely care about there customers. Never mind the quality of product. I have only took beef lungs fews days now and went for a run and already feel in very short time it's making a difference. I'm glad I discovered these guys.
