I tried several, several different water bottles for my little piggies, but they leaked or something else broke. I’ve had this for over 6 months and no leaks. Definitely buying more.

Purchased 2 of these over a year ago, they work great but the metal tip with the stoppers unscrews easily and my 8 year old who fills them accidentally unscrews the metal tip while taking the top off and we have lost the metal balls several times. Purchased another one because we couldn’t locate one of the balls that fell out. They don’t leak and the piggies have no issues using them. Just have to be careful unscrewing the lids to refill.

I specifically was looking for a water bottle that could be attached to the outside of the cage so that every time I needed to fill it, it wasn’t a pain to get out. This bottle came in multiple colors which was also an added bonus. I was so disappointed because I kept wasting my money on different ones and felt like I would never find anything that worked as stated. They all leaked! I was about to give up and just use a water bowl, even though I don’t like using them, my gerbils tend to use them as toilet dishes, when I decided to try this brand. At first I got the shorter spout and sometimes it would be good, while other times it would continuously drip. I was so disappointed. I came across the same bottle type, but with a longer spout and decided to try that one instead as a last ditch effort. To my surprise it worked!! No more leaking! I’m guessing the shorter spout just couldn’t be positioned correctly to prevent it from dripping, while somehow the longer spout can be positioned correctly. I’m so happy I gave this a try because it was definitely worth it! I’m happy and so are our gerbils! Just a side note. Every time you fill this bottle, make sure to tap the little ball with your finger until water comes out. Sometimes it gets “stuck” when you refill the bottle from the pressure of the new water/air in it. As long as I do that, everything works perfectly!

My skinny pigs recently went through two separate water bottles within a month because of leakage issues, so I decided to do some research and found this bottle was highly recommended across the internet.I knew going into it how small it would be, but I decided to take my chance if it would finally mean no more soggy habitat.I've had it for close to a month now and so far have had no issues whatsoever.It tightly secures to their cage, so I don't have the issue of it always falling off. It's easy for them to drink out of. It's easy to keep clean. Best of all, there has been no leaking whatsoever.The downside is the size for sure; I'm having to refill the bottle daily, sometimes twice a day, but again, I went into it knowing how small it would be.I'm planning on investing in a second one to hopefully balance that out, because I really would prefer to have several of these than to have something larger and unreliable.Highly recommend this product!

I bought this for my guinea pig to replace a water bottle that would drip non-stop. I've had this product for a year now and it hasn't leaked so I'm happy about that. However, there are a few design flaws that make me wish I went with a different water bottle.First, the grooves on the screw-on bracket are designed for a cage with vertical bars. My guinea pig's cage has horizontal bars so this water bottle wouldn't stay on. I was able to take the mounting system off of the old water bottle to make this one work, but it would have been nice if I knew this would be an issue before ordering.Second, and more importantly, the small stainless steel ball sticks after refilling and completely restricts the flow of water. They do say on their listing that it's important to tap the ball after refilling to ensure that water comes out properly. Unfortunately, I missed doing this one time and didn't realize that my guinea pig didn't get water for several days, which resulted in a near-death and expensive vet visit. This was ultimately my fault since I was just checking to make sure he had water and failed to realize that he wasn't getting any, but it also seems to be a pretty significant design issue.Finally, while this water bottle doesn't leak, it also seems to lack a good flow of water. My guinea pig sometimes struggles to get a sufficient amount of water at times even though I regularly clean and refill this bottle.This is a decent option if you're looking for a water bottle that doesn't leak and you're good about checking to make sure the water is flowing well. Avoid buying if you want something that's lower maintenance or if your cage doesn't have vertical bars.
