Our beautiful Alpaca Wool Ponchos are as versatile as they are elegant. Handmade by Fair Trade Artisans in the Andean Foothills, the poncho is intended to keep you warm, but comfortable anytime day or night. The blend of 80% Alpaca Wool with 20% Sheep wool makes for a long-lasting, non-itchy garment. Our Ponchos look as good in dress jeans as they do in sweat pants. As each of these ponchos is handmade, and unique, the sizing might vary slightly.

Warm as in lite jacket or hoodie.
I bought this for the cowboy carter concert. This is a great poncho for Fall/Spring nights. Its not going to get you through anything under 50 degrees. Stylish and long enough to cover majority of your body. Im 5’8

Best poncho I've had yet!
Warm and well insulated. I have nothing bad to say except that the loop for the button could be a bit thicker as I feel like I can tear at any moment. I will definitely be keeping this for years to come!

I love my poncho
I've had this for a while now and I love it. It's soft and cool. I have gotten a few compliments on it as well as had a few people make Clint Eastwood jokes. It's great quality and looks great.

Phenomenal quality
Purchased two of these. One for each of my sons. Ages seventeen and twenty two. They are in love with their parkas. Wear them all the time. The quality of the material is amazing. Soft baby alpaca wool. Can’t wait to purchase a third for myself.

Handwoven, stunning on!!
Very well made. Nicer in person than in the pictures. Given as gifts to my boho son and one for his girl friend. Nice for those cooler evening music concerts. They absolutely loved them!! Beautiful rich colors!!

Comfortable and Warm Poncho
I should probably begin my review by saying that I am a 5'1.5" woman and I bought this poncho for myself. I noticed a question regarding whether this is an ok poncho for a woman, so I thought I'd comment on that for anyone else who might be wondering. That being said, if you're looking for something that will be more form fitting and small, this is definitely not the poncho for you. If you want to be swallowed by a warm cloud of alpaca and wool and block out the cold, then this is definitely the poncho for you. I actually really love that this is huge. It reaches more than halfway down my shins, so it doesn't drag, but it definitely covers most of me, I can pull in my arms and the poncho will totally cover me except my feet. The material is definitely an alpaca mix, I have a 100% alpaca pendleton blanket and the drape of this shawl is just a little stiffer, and the feel is a little less silky than the alpaca, though still very soft. It is absolutely well made with a nice tight weave that feels like it will soften with wear and cleaning. (I would definitely hand wash this article with a high quality no-rinse wool wash by soaking in tepid, room temp, water and rolling in a towel then laying flat to dry for a day or two; that will definitely soften it more and prevent it from getting damaged or shrinking, I would never toss this in a washing machine). I bought this poncho because I work downstairs in my house and we don't have adequate heating down there, so it gets very very cold in winter. The poncho arrived on a very cold day so I was able to test this immediately and am currently wearing it, it keeps out the cold very very well without making me feel overheated, which is exactly what I expect from alpaca. I should also mention that I don't usually leave a review so soon after receiving an item, but in light of the christmas season and my own happiness with this purchase I thought it well worth it. I will mention that the neck hole on the poncho is about 10 inches. There was a crease in the poncho when I got it from folding and shipping, but steam and wear should get that out. I will be purchasing another of these ponchos in the near future as a gift, and think this will make a wonderful gift for anyone who needs something warm and knows how to take care of nice wool.

Great looking, soft, but too thin
I love it, but it’s too thin. It’s soft, not scratchy, great looks, but wanted it for cold camping. I ended up using it in our cabin to keep warm at nights while watching movies or playing games. For that it a 100% go to. For around the campfire. Not so much. I kept it and use it indoors.
