Fossil Men's Ledger Stainless Steel and Leather Casual Quartz Watch

Of the watches I've owned thus far, the only two I've kept are a Wenger and a Timex, both of which I love but don't really have the look of an everyday wear watch. One is too formal, the other a little too retro in its 90s stylings to be worn unironically at work.The last everyday use watch I owned simply stopped running a few weeks ago. It was a budget watch I bought here on Amazon. It was a SKMEI that looked a bit like this Fossil, but it only lived for about 2 years before it pooped out. The cost quoted to fix it was far more than the watch was even worth, so I figured I might as well spend a bit more for something that looks even nicer and that will actually last.This Fossil, unlike my other two watches, is just right for everyday at-work use. The styling is understated and appealing. It doesn't draw undue attention to itself, a quality I appreciate. If it is noticed, it's not going to embarrass you. The dial is highly legible. The crown is sufficiently tactile to make adjustments easy. The movements are precise. The hands contrast nicely with the dial for easy reading. The lugs don't dig into my wrists, a very important feature, and the strap, while stiff at first, has broken in considerably and is now very comfortable. Don't worry if the strap feels a little stiff at first. It becomes significantly more flexible after a few days. The exterior of the strap is leather, and the interior is a much softer, more comfortable suede.The look, comfort, and price of this watch were spot on. It's one of those rare products that feels nicer than what it cost. I'm pretty careful with my things, so I guess the last test, which I'll set a reminder for, is to check back in in 2 years to say if it's still running.UPDATE: I slipped and, unfortunately, managed to clip the face of the watch on the corner of something as I went. down. Watch is deader than a doornail. This watch is not clumsy idiot proof, but what is? Still give it five stars. This unfortunate circumstance is on me.

This is my first Fossil branded watch. It's nice looking but I wasn't expecting it to be shiny black. Fossil makes good watches, I have two unbranded watches which were made by Fossil--homage to Timex Weekender, one silver color and the other black and shiny like this new watch. The strap on this new watch is good quality and comfortable. This may become one of my favorites.

It's beautiful! I never had such a beautiful watch. The leather mesh is of excellent quality. It is very light. From now on I will only buy Fossil watches. I was more than happy with this purchase. I recommend it to everyone.

I gave this watch to my boyfriend as Christmas gift. He likes it, because can be use daily, easy to match with different outfits. Has a good size, which allows it to be easy to read. The only think I don't like much, it's that the belt doesn't seem to be leather. Other than that, it is a good watch, classy and sober.

I like “Fossil” brand just because of the word “fossil”, like something from the past that can arouse my nostalgia. I remember when I came to the US in 1996, I spent $60 for a Fossil sunglasses out of my $800 monthly scholarship just because I liked it!Coming down watches, I’ve been an old schooler - only go for minimalist. Before I saw this Ledger, I bought a Copeland just a couple of months ago. I like the dial color and the big bold number from this one so just grabbed it for my Fossil collection, not to mention the price at the time was a great bargain.It is not thin but with normal thickness to be consistent with “fossil”, better with casual than dress. It runs accurately, just like standard quartz movement.

This is a great quality product.The casing is a bit more woodsy/comical but the watch itself has such a nice leather strap, beautiful clean face and durable look to it. Great for both everyday and classy looks.

I wear my watch to work, I'm not easy on it at all and I have not cracked the glass and the stem doesnt have any corrosion and the overall finish is holding up quite well. there isn't any issue with the strap even when exposed to moisture and some splashes of water, the easy release straps are a nice way to switch bands quickly.My next watch WILL have a back light but that's just a preference, otherwise a great watch for the money.
