Yes it's the middle button to the right of the number keypad - the one with a speaker symbol on it

Does this phone have a programmable speed dial function?

Unsure about speed dial as it was bought for elderly relative but its a great phone and you can text from it... It also has a built in radio.. I would recommend as it's so much cheaper using sim card than a land line

Does it have quickdial?

It has the quick dial where you just lift the receiver then press and hold the corresponding number key to call the programmed contact for that key.

Can you connect an extarnal antenna (ie, remote the antenna to the outside of your building) and what type of connector is needed for the antenna

No. The antenna is fixed to the phone but does swivel from behind the base unit to vertical or to the right. Great phone but the power lead is a bit short at approx. 1m. Runs on the battery for days without mains power so could be classed as portable.
