Really An Awesome Tea Maker
This is one awesome product and we've only used it a few times since we received it very recently! I was a bit apprehensive when ordering this; however, we've been using it every day since we received it. The Tea Maker is well constructed with a non-slip top and handle as described and cleaning is a breeze. Thus far, we've used organic tea bags which works great. And as the instructions indicate, once ice is added and the container shaken for about 30 seconds, it further infuses the tea and does a super job of chilling the tea.I didn't purchase the taller/larger one as I wasn't sure about how it would fit in the refrigerator. Pouring the tea is so easy and while not completely spill-proof, the top and adjustments are nice and snug. So far, we're really happy with this product and the tea turns out great. We also bought the Takeya Fruit Infuser which also works very well. A very innovative and quality product in my humble opinion. We will purchase a 2nd one once we decide if we want the 1-quart or larger size. Kudos on the concept and quality of this tea maker - pleasantly surprised... Flash Tea Maker
I love iced tea so a few years ago, I purchased a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker and I loved it (still do) but it takes some effort to make the tea. You have to put a filter in the machine, then fill it with water, then put in the tea bags (or loose tea), then put ice in the jug, plug it in, turn it on, then wait. This is fine most of the time, but then I have to remember to make it beforehand if I want to drink it on the go, which isn't exactly convenient. I saw the Flash Tea Maker in one of my tea catalogs and decided to check it out (on Amazon because I like to save $), and the reviews talked me into it...and thank goodness they did! I love it because I can use loose leaf or bags with ease, plus I can bring it with me and make my tea at work. I just add in a little hot water (which our commercial coffee pot has a spout for right on the side), let it steep for a few minutes, add in some ice, and drink away. It's perfect for those on the go. It's really handy and I've noticed that even if I leave tea in it for a little too long, the tea color doesn't stain the plastic (plus it's BPA free). I definitely recommend this product.

Space Saving
I have been using this for about a month now and love it! have a small refrigerator, so space is at a premium. This fits perfect on the bottom shelf and doesn't take up a lot of room and does not leak if I have to set it down sideways. I am the only one drinking out of it and will go through the whole pitcher by the end of the day. I could see that being a problem if multiple people are wanting to use it. For that I would recommend a larger size or buy two.How much tbs of loose leaf or bagged tea you need is going to depend on the brand and type of tea. I found I needed only two teabags of the Tazo Passion Fruit blend (more is over powering), but needed 3-4 of the Twinings Peach tea to get the desired flavor.

Pretty much what I wanted
+ Works very well.+ Looks and feels durable.+ Did not leak for me.. (for the most part)+ Has a fair price. (I rarely praise a product on Amazon for this)- I could not find any directions on how to use it. But it could just be me.- I wish it contained at least a sign to mark half the pitcher.- It is SLIGHTLY tedious to clean the bottom of the filter thing from the loose tea leaves.

Really great for Ice Tea or Infused Water
Love this thing. The inset filter piece can be a little hard to clean sometimes but if you don't have some kind of small sponge wand just keep in mind what you are using it for. I found this super great to make Thai Ice tea in mass rather than a small cup. Has also been great for dropping tea bags and some sliced lemons in too.The pitcher alone is super easy to clean and seals shut easy. I'm tempted to buy another one honestly. If you feel like maybe yours is leaking, just make sure the whole lid base is tightened. Both the lid top AND the base can screw on and off so just make sure the lid base (part with the handle) is screwed on tight and you're golden.

Better than Teavana's overpriced version!
Made my first batch of sun tea with this pitcher. I had been looking for something like this in glass, but I think this works out a lot better as I'm not afraid of it cracking. A down side is that the jug requires it to be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher, but there's no way it'll fit! Hand washing looks like the way to go for this. The handle is covered with a soft neoprene cover which makes gripping it easy and there's also a handle on the top which I can fit my fingers through easily to pick it off the ground. The cap locking mechanism is very well designed and click-stops when the spout is open prior to completely opening for removal. I do wish it had hash mark on the side for measuring amounts, but it's a minor gripe. The sieve didn't leak any of my loose leaf tea which is better than some of my fancy strainers I use for my personal cups. It's a great purchase, and I'm looking forward to lots of brews with the tea maker!

Best tea maker/brewer I've ever had
I'm the only one in the house that drinks tea so I really like its small size. I don't infuse tea or use loose tea leaves so I don't use the insert. What I like most about the tea maker is the spill proof design. I can make tea, throw the pitcher in my bag, and take it to work without a spill. The spill proof design also helps keep the tea fresher longer. In the past, I have made iced tea and had it turn cloudy and bad-tasting very quickly, sometimes that very day. Tea stays fresh, clean, and tasting good in this tea maker so I find I make it more because I'm not throwing it out after a day or two. If you'd like to make a larger amount of tea than the pitcher size, you can always increase the strength of the tea then pour out the amount you need and dilute it in another pitcher. The tea in this tea maker will stay fresh. Definitely recommend.
