Cheap and sturdy
I just received this last week and got around to mounting it during the weekend. Installation is fairly simple, nothing different from any other wall mount out there. The HDMI cable that came with it also worked perfectly. The device itself feels very sturdy and secure even before you mount it. The metal used is very resistant and doesn't bend. I mounted this on a concrete wall using the provided screws and anchors. You get a lot more screws than you will really need so you will only use the ones that fit your specific TV set. I was a little worried at first because of the plastic anchors (I thought they might not hold properly) but hey proved to be pretty strong. Once I installed the base part on the wall I pulled it pretty hard and even got a friend to help me and the thing wouldn't move at all. After mounting my TV on it (a 46" LCD) it still feels pretty secure so I'm not worried of it falling down. Adjusting the bottom screws once you have the TV mounted is a bit tricky but if you're a little bendy you can do it without too much effort and given that this is not something that you would be moving everyday I think this is no big issue. One thing to note is the included bubble level. I read on some reviews that some people found it to be a little off. I checked mine against a professional brand name level and it turned out to be accurate but I would still check it if I were you just to be on the safe side. Overall I think this is a fairly standard wall mount that works as advertised and costs a lot less than some of the other mounts that do the same thing. I don't see a reason why I wouldn't buy it again if I had another TV to mount.

Great value, easy install
A solid mount at a great price. If you're wondering if you can really do this yourself, they've made the product about as easy as possible for a DIY installation. First off, the free HDMI cable makes this worth the price by itself, but this is a great mount. I hung a 40" lcd with it, and following the instructions, I was able to get it done in less than 30 minutes. What I like about this mount: - It is truly universal, the holes on both pieces made it easy to make it work even in my room where the studs aren't a clean 18" apart as per building codes. - The instructions are crystal clear. - They lay out the hardware in seperate, alphabetically sequencial pouches, which makes it even easier to follow the directions. - They supply a range of hardware to make it fit different televisions. A few tips: - Make sure you have the tools you need - stud sensor (a cheap item available at any hardware store), drill, and socket set with a 13mm lug or close enough imperial size. - Others here have suggested plugging in cables before actually hanging the tv. I second that recommendation. - The bolts, as others have written here, are of a cheap grade of steel, but perfectly adequate. Drill pilot holes deep and put soap on the screw area, and they go in just fine, but I wouldn't over torque them once they're in place and tight. - The built-in level isn't reliable, but the one they include in the box is, so double check that both are flat. A great value. I'm very pleased.

Unbelievable!!
In a word...unbelievable. This mount is very strong and sturdy, and is very simple to install. Like many other people, I too replaced the bolts and mounting hardware with slightly longer lag bolts from the Orange Store, just to be sure. Do I think this was necessary, absolutely not. But for $2.00 and change, why not give yourself complete piece of mind. The instructions were clear enough, and I had it mounted in less than an hour, maybe even a half hour. Okay, now to those of you who are looking at BB, or WallyWorld or anywhere else for a T.V. mount for $100-$200 dollars, and cannot understand why this is so inexpensive, all I can say is those stores simply want to make more money. Most of the time I would fully agree with you that you get what you pay for. NOT SO, with this mount. It is extremely well built and sturdy, installs easily, has a great tilt feature and secures the television with no concern of it moving...ever. Once mounted on the wall, I all but hung from it (@ 220 lbs), and I currently have a Sony 55" LED hanging from it, and it will not move 1 centimeter. Originally, I was looking at an articulating mount, but most of them, if you don't know, require your wall studs to be 16" on center. My apartment is only 24" on center, so the articulating mount was not an option. To be honest though, I wouldn't have needed the articulation, and this is much sturdier, again, giving me additional piece of mind. As I stated earlier, this mount is unbelievable, especially for the price. Get this mount!! DO NOT waste your money on the same thing from BB, WM, etc. However, if your are still feeling the need to spend that much on a mount to feel like you bought something of quality, buy this mount and send me the extra cash (I will email you my address). I cannot recommend this mount enough. Just my .02

Fantastic and Economical Mount with only a few minor drawbacks
If I could do 4.5 Starts I would. The reason for the 5-star shortfall is: 1) The TV is a bit too close to the wall (needs about 3/4 inch more room to maneuver). Would be helpuf if the tilt allowed tilting up (bottom comes out top move in) to allow easier access to some of the ports (i.e. to get the ethernet cable in took two minutes until i got lucky and got it in the port). This was a minor inconvenience when dealing with cable management and final screw tightening. This was in other reviews, so I knew this going in, but was a bit more of a pain that I anticipated. 2) The width of the mount is why I got it, as I have a stud dead center in my wall, so I had hoped it would cover the two studs on the left/right of the center, but it does not quite make it with the hole pattern (16 on center). I needed to slightly off-center the mount in order to hit a side stud and the center stud (4 lag bolts) then use a heavy duty drywall anchor to help with the right side. I think the four lagbolts cover it, but the extra support makes me sleep better at night. But there was enough room to center the TV on the wall, so all ended well. With the negative out of the way, this mount is great for the price and holds my 65inch Panasonic Plasma nicely to my wall (no creaking or groaning or anything that made me worry when I hung the set). It was very easy to assemble (easier than a Chetah brand I bought and returned as it was too small). I had it up and mounted in no time. The included level is nice if you don't have one and the HDMI cable is a nice add in so I have an extra one around the house (I would only use a freebie cable for something I was not trying gain maximum HD quality like a Roku or something). They supply a bunch of hardware for every situation to connect the brackets to your TV (you get a plastic "batman untility belt size" sleave of mounting hardware for the brackets to your TV...nice to cover any situations). If you are looking for a solid economical wall mount for a flat screen, you can't go wrong here for the price.

Perfect mount for my needs
This mount was perfect for my needs. I have never mounted a tv before, always had mine on a stand. I've always wanted my tv above my fireplace, but didn't want to pay tons of money for install. This was the perfect mount. Since I needed the tv above the fireplace, it is a little above eye level. This mount gave me the option of mounting it flat, or with a slight tilt which is what I used. I was able to install it by myself in about 1/2 an hour. I have a 42" Samsung LCD which gave me a 38" width of the tv. The back plate is 30" so it is completely hidden, but long enough that I was able to secure it on 3 studs which makes it very secure. It comes with all the hardware needed (screws and washers to secure the mount to the back of the tv and bolts to secure it to the wall, and even an HDMI cable). You still will need a 1/2" socket wrench, drill to start the holes for the screws in the wall, and obviously a measuring tape. My favorite feature was the level built into the mount. Because of this, I was able to mount it straight by myself. The only design flaw I saw was the tilt locking. It has knobs that you have to tighten like a vice would have. There wasn't enough room to move the knobs after the bracket was on the tv when it was in the flat position. You would have to tighten them before you secure the bracket to the back of the tv. But other than that, it did its job, is well built, and easy to use. It will be easy to change this over to a new tv if I ever upgrade. All my cables ran under the back plate and I was able to run them into the wall. There are 4 holes that you can run wires through if they are located in a different location than mine. Definitely measure your tv first to make sure it won't hang past the edges. Do a little pre-planning and see where the cables are located and if you need to put any holes in the wall before you mount.

Great mount, EASY to install, but came with a defective HDMI cable - read on
The FIVE STAR rating is for the mount itself. I give the HDMI cable NO STARS (defective) and the seller NO STARS for not standing up to a warrantee on the cable and for an inaccurate description of the mount. Some people have written that the two piece back mount is a potential problem, but I feel that the nuts/bolts used to hold the two pieces together are sufficiently sturdy enough to distribute the weight properly, AS LONG AS you have two mounting bolts on each side. Would a one piece back mount be better? Perhaps. Quick and easy to install. The included level is sufficient, but I used some longer and more sophisticated ones to be sure it was perfectly level. As others have indicated the lock screws are a bit difficult to reach with fingers/hand and a standard Phillips screwdriver, especially if you have the TV tilted forward. I used an 18 inch drill bit extender with a Phillips bit and attached it to my cordless drill. That made short order of what would be a more difficult task to accomplish. This easily holds an older (6 years) 70 pound HDTV. I forgot to snap on the plastic piece that covers the joint between the two back mounts - it is decorative only and once the TV is in place, you can't see the mounts anyway. I used a 3 foot long bubble level as well as the level built into my iPhone to ensure that the mount was perfectly leveled. The included bubble level will work, and was accurate, but I felt that using a longer, more 'professional' carpenter's level would be better. The description on Amazon states that the mount will tilt forward up to 15 degrees. ("Rail design allows TV to shift left and right for TV placement adjustment; Adjustable 15 degree of forward tilt") The included instructions state 10% (as do the diagrams) and a check with an accurate gauge indicated that the best I could get was 10% (9.9%). So, the seller's description on Amazon is incorrect. The included HDMI cable DID NOT WORK. I tested it on two different TVs, one had a grainy image, the other no image. Neither would transmit audio. I contacted the Seller - Warehouseseller - about the defective cable, asking for a replacement. Their response was "The HDMI cable is a gift from manufacturer, so it's not under the warrantee." There is nothing in the description on Amazon that indicates that the HDMI cable is a 'gift". To the contrary, it is listed as an included item in the purchase price. ("Content: TV wall mount, 10 ft HDMI cable, Bubble Level, standard hardware pack and user manual; Assembly required."). Two thumbs down to their customer service for kissing this off the way they did. BOTTOM LINE - buy this for the actual mount/bracket - it is solid, easy to install and holds my 70 pound TV without any stress. Understand that it tilts only 10%. The HDMI cable is a 'give-me'.

Works well but difficult to secure security screws.
I mounted a Sharp Aquos Q+ LC-SQ15U 60" LCD TV with this mount. The mount is very sturdy and there is no chance that my TV will ever fall or otherwise stress the mount. It was easy to get the mount on the wall with the provided screws. I used my own long level. None of the provided screws were adequate to secure the mount to the back of the TV. They were either too short or too long. I went to the hardware store and bought screws that were just right. Hanging the TV was very difficult and took a long time. We hooked the TV to the top rail but then we had to tighten the security screws that butt against the bottom rail and prevent the TV from falling forward and off the wall. There was not adequate space between the back of the TV and the mount to get a hand and a screwdriver in there. I finally did it by coating the screws with soap so they would turn easily. Then I used three fingers and a 3" screwdriver to slowly (as in agonizing) tighten the screws with the TV slid all the way to the left or right to allow the most access. I called the manufacturer at one point. She chuckled and said I need a Very Long screwdriver. That would be about two feet long by my estimate. It would also have to have a small blade. Does it work well? Yes. Would I spend more for a swing-out mount that allows easy attachment? Yes. Well, now that the TV is on the wall it looks really great and the useful angle of view has about doubled. One thing I am sure of, that TV is not coming down soon!

Good Mount
I'll give it a five; however, there are some points to look out for when installing. First, I would suggest mounting the bars to the back of the TV first. Measuring down from the inside top of the hooks to the bottom of the TV, give you a measurement that can be used to locate the TV on the wall. In my case, I know where I wanted to mount the bottom of the TV and this measurement allowed me to place the top of the wall mounting plate at the correct height. Second, it came with the first level I have ever seen that was NOT lever when laid on a flat surface. About a half bubble off, enough I could tell just by my eye, due to the bottom surface being uneven. If turned upside down, it was inaccurate. Regardless I used an aluminum Stanley 2-ft level. There comes the third problem. Where the two pieces meet together, there is a slight ridge. So make sure to take the level measurement without the level laying across the center area where the two pieces are attached. And, just to note, the plastic beauty piece clips broke...NO BIG DEAL. With the TV mounted, you can't see back there anyway unless you are a spider building a web. Other than those three VERY MINOR problems it appears to be well made, sturdy and sufficient to hold my 46" TV in the bedroom, and only takes one person to install. (NOT THAT I AM SUGGESTING EVERYONE COULD INSTALL A 46" TV OR SMALLER BY THEMSELVES, JUST SAYING IT IS POSSIBLE FOR SOME PEOPLE.) As for the bolts, I noted some comments about running up to the local hardware store to purchase new lag bolts and I'm not sure why. These are grade (metric) 10.9 bolts, the equivalent of a SAE Grade 8 bolt made of alloy. They have a shear capability of 91 ksi (91000 psi), whereas, most of the bolts purchased in home hardware stores are carbon steel, Grade 5 with a shear capability of 75 ksi (75000 psi). The bracket will crack were the bolts are installed or the 2x4 will crack in two, long before these bolts will shear off.
