We have horrible water where we live and after some research decided on the iSpring 2-stage filter system, which turned out to be a great choice for us. My wife and I are not plumbers and have very little plumbing experience but decided to do the install on our own. Our home is a newly built house and has Pex waterlines, which we had never worked with before. A little more research and we decided to use Shark-Bite connectors. Even though they are a little expensive, they looked the easiest to install for novice plumbers and matched the connectors that came with the filtration system. We took our time to make sure we had clean, even cuts on the Pex and used the Pex tool to make sure it was a smooth surface so we wouldn't have any leaks. Overall it took us about 4 hours to install the system. When it was installed, we were able to charge the system and were happy to have no leaks once it was pressurized. The happiness didn't last long as we quickly noticed the household water pressure dropped to basically zero. We thought maybe we installed something incorrectly, so we took out both filters and ran the system, and the pressure was normal. We then installed just the sediment filter, and the pressure was still normal. After installing the carbon filter, the pressure again dropped to basically zero. I did a little more research and saw online that carbon-block filters can cause a huge reduction in water pressure and that it might be better to use a granulated carbon filter instead, which I found really frustrating, and I wished I would have looked into that ahead of time. The next day I called iSpring customer service to tell them about my issue. The customer service agent was super nice and said sometimes the carbon filter can be blocked and that he would send out a new one and hopefully it would resolve the issue. I was sceptical but had nothing to lose at that point. We ran the system with only the sediment filter installed for a few days with no issues, and once the new carbon filter arrived as promised we installed it. We charged the system and had full water pressure throughout the house, and everything has been running 100% perfectly. The filters come sealed in plastic, and even though the filters had the same part number, the new one had a bigger/different label. We're not sure if the first filter was from a bad lot or if they redesigned something to make them work better. I'll be ordering some additional filters and will make sure they're the ones with the newer label. I'm giving the system 5 stars not only because I think it turned out to be a great product and easy to install but also because of the great customer service. They actually answer the phone and then sent a the new filter as soon as I described the issue.

This is the second ISpring filtration system we've bought in the last two months. We put one in our main house after discovering how bad our city water has been. The system is well made, the directions for install are very clearly written & it fit perfectly in the limited area we installed it in. We've been so impressed with the difference in our water quality that we purchased another system for our garage that also has an apartment. For what we paid for these systems, they are phenomenal! The rest of the story is that we've had a problem with the canisters sealing properly so I called into the ISpring customer service and got Nick on the phone. I explained what was going on and he immediately diagnosed the problem being that our installer had over-tightened the canisters causing the O-rings to flatten & therefore not seal right. This is no fault of ISpring Company, but Nick was just wonderful and is sending us new O-rings to replace the ones we damaged and gave me specific instructions on tightening the canisters going forward. He has also followed up with me regarding the replacement O-rings & wants to make sure when we get them that it takes care of the problem! The Customer Service we've received from Nick mirrors the quality of the system and I highly recommend both the system and the company. We could have spent hundreds of dollars more on other systems, but I doubt if we would have gotten better water filtration than we got with ISpring! We noticed immediately the difference in the taste of our water, the lack of white film on our glasses and sinks, and an absolute relief to dry, itchy skin & hair breakage from our showers!

Quality of product seems good for the price . Takes minor plumbing knowledge to do it yourself . Make sure you wrap just enough Teflon tape to threads . I also added non toxic pipe dough on top of Teflon for a better seal . Did some minor soldering although you might not have to depending on your set up . You could also buy shark bite fittings and have to do little to no soldering . After installed tested system , minor pressure drop about 8 psi not really noticeable unless I have multiple sinks going at once . So far a couple days this has removed smell when taking showers from my well water , still faint but might have to run it a couple more days since I didn’t flush the water heater . Also installed a bypass just in case filters clog or I need to change them I can still have water to the house .
